Mexico City 1980. He studied fine arts at Diego Rivera High School and continued his Studies at La Esmeralda Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes with a concentration in Painting. Worried that art was more about skillset than content, he dedicated five years to Classical Studies at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, specializing in ancient Greek language and history.
Wanting to share his art and ideas beyond the traditionally private realm of galleries, he started making public murals throughout Mexico and recently in the United States. He has experimented with graphic novel, ephemeral sculpture, props for theater, performance, and rotoscoping.
“My experience grows through sharing knowledge and experiences with different groups and generations of people, taking my own vision of life to the streets, inside doors, any place.”
His artwork covers diverse areas: From mural and large format painting, graphic novels, anatomy, geometry, airbrushing, engraving, sculpture, street and digital art, live painting performances, and teaching. Over the last two years he has live murals, talks to Art Infusion members, and workshops worked for Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. He has recently painted two murals in NWA and is painting his third in Springdale.
